International Girl is more than a pageant—it is a youth development program built around confidence, leadership, personal growth, family, and opportunity. Our Directors are an important part of that mission, bringing the International Girl experience to young ladies and families in communities across the United States and around the world.
Whether you have years of pageant experience or simply have a passion for working with young people and creating meaningful experiences, there may be a place for you on the International Girl Team of Directors.

What is an IG Director?
An International Girl Director is a local leader and ambassador for the International Girl Youth Development Program.
Directors organize and promote International Girl competitions within an approved territory while creating an environment where contestants can develop confidence, strengthen communication skills, showcase their talents, build friendships, and grow as young leaders.

Our Directors help guide contestants through our three-tier experience:
PRELIMINARY → STATE → INTERNATIONAL
As a Director, you are not simply producing a competition. You are building relationships with families, developing young people, representing the International Girl brand, and becoming part of a Director family committed to maintaining our Tradition of Excellence.

What Does It Require?
Great IG Directors come from many different backgrounds. Pageant experience can certainly be helpful, but it is not the only thing that makes a successful Director.
We look for individuals who are:

• Passionate about youth development and empowerment

• Professional, dependable, organized, and enthusiastic

• Comfortable communicating with contestants and parents

• Excited about marketing, recruiting, and growing a program

• Committed to creating a positive, family-centered atmosphere

• Able to plan and execute a professional competition or event

• Supportive of natural pageantry and age-appropriate competition

• Committed to kindness, respect, integrity, and good sportsmanship

• Willing to uphold International Girl standards, policies, and brand expectations

• Ready to encourage contestants as they advance from the Preliminary level to State and ultimately to the International stage
   

Most importantly, an IG Director should believe that every contestant should leave an International Girl event having gained something valuable—whether that is greater confidence, a new friendship, improved communication skills, a goal accomplished, or simply the courage to try something new.

What is the Cost?
We believe our Directors should have the opportunity to build their program rather than invest heavily in franchise fees.
International Girl does not charge a traditional State Director franchise fee.
Instead, Directors operate through a straightforward sanction-fee structure:
Preliminary Competition:
$125 sanction fee per approved preliminary competition
State Competition:
$200 sanction fee for the approved State Pageant
This structure allows Directors to focus their resources on developing, promoting, and growing their territory.

How Do I Get Involved?
Getting started begins with a conversation.
We want to learn about you, the area you are interested in developing, your experience, and why you would like to become part of International Girl.
Potential Directors will complete an application and participate in a review process with International Girl leadership. Approved Directors receive the information and resources needed to begin developing their territory and preparing for their first International Girl event.
You will also become part of a larger network of Directors who share ideas, experiences, encouragement, and a common goal: creating opportunities for today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
